Zorki Conversion, c. 1998
Russia. Zorki version no. 13279 in brass with the German inscription "Luftwaffe" (German Air Force). From the era of the ultimately unsuccessful break from Communism and disinformation; the symbol on the top plate reveals a glorification of Fascism (pixelated). Rangefinder is non-functional, lens has a cementing defect, shutter cloth is brittle, rewind crank is stiff, and the lid and case are incorrectly stamped with "Leica". A contemporary example of the disregard for third-party property rights.
