Description

British Mochaware Jug, Circa 1820. Of bulbous tapered form, slip-banded in dark brown, pumpkin and taupe, slip-trailed in white and shades of brown and blue with a canted figure 8 earthworm within slate blue bands and beneath an unusual rouletted green-glazed double reeded and block border, the handle with leafy terminals heightened in green glaze.H: 7 in., W: 8.375 in., Diam: 6.375 in.
