The body is painted in deep cobalt blue and decorated with colored reserves (medallions): a large medallion depicts a magnificent peacock surrounded by lush peonies, chrysanthemums, peach trees, and other flowers.
Other panels feature birds, butterflies, tendrils, and floral motifs in typical Famille Rose colors (pink, green, yellow, orange, blue). The background is richly ornamented with clouds, tendrils, and borders in gold and color.
