Description: Pair of Cased Sterling Silver Pepperettes – Deakin & Francis, Birmingham 1919
Offered for sale is a good quality pair of antique sterling silver pepperettes, each fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1919, and made by the well-regarded silversmiths Deakin & Francis Ltd.
Each pepperette is of elegant flared form with scalloped rim and pierced domed lid, topped with a small finial.
The bodies are raised on circular pedestal bases and are struck with clear matching hallmarks.
The pair are housed in their original fitted case, lined in deep blue velvet and ivory silk.
The case is structurally sound but shows wear and rubbing to the outer covering, consistent with age and use.
Condition: Both pepperettes are in good antique condition.
Some tarnish and surface marks are present, as shown, but no dents or major damage.
The lids remove neatly and sit securely.
Dimensions (each): 7 cm high; 4 x 4 cm
Case dimensions: 13 x 11 x 6 cm
