The obverse features a profile portrait of Fry in Quaker attire with the inscription JOSEPH FRY 1728 – 1787, while the reverse depicts a finely detailed weeping willow tree encircled by the legend J S FRY & SONS LTD BICENTENARY 1928.
The medallion measures 5 cm in diameter and is struck in a white metal alloy.
There is some wear and light surface marking consistent with age and handling, but the detail remains legible and well defined.
