The hexagonal barrel is engraved with foliate scrollwork typical of the period, with a date panel and a personalised inscription.
The terminal is set with a carved hardstone matrix, possibly carnelian.
A functional and decorative item from the late 19th century, combining writing utility with a traditional gentleman’s fob seal.
Condition: Minor surface wear consistent with age.
