A Georgian period country oak drop-leaf dining table, dating to around 1790.
The rectangular top with twin hinged leaves supported on gatelegs, the whole raised on square-section legs.
A small drawer with brass handle to one end.
Of practical size, this is a good example of vernacular Georgian furniture with a warm colour and visible grain to the timber.
Structurally solid but with some expected rickety-ness to the gatelegs and a degree of surface wear and distortion to the leaves commensurate with age and country use.
One or two old marks and minor blemishes as seen, but a serviceable and honest antique.
