Ferrari 330 GTO Recreation Project *9553*
*NO RESERVE*
• Hand-formed aluminium bodywork by Chris Lawrence
• 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC *9553* identity included
• Current V5C - registration mark PHJ 27E
A striking Ferrari 250 GTO-style aluminium body, believed to have been crafted by Chris Lawrence in the 1990s. The body is approximately 80% complete and remains mounted on its iron forming buck.
The late Eddie Walsh had intended to complete the project using components and the identity from a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC chassis 9553, a car he acquired in 1986 and subsequently dismantled for parts.
The aluminium bodywork is of impressive quality, with certain areas - notably the tricky front nose section - beautifully formed and largely finished. The body now requires completion work, including the fabrication and fitment of doors.
Also included in the sale:
- A new Pilkington 250 GTO windscreen
- Current V5C registration document PHJ 27E
- Original buff logbook for the 330 GTC
- Original Ferrari chassis tag for the 330 GTC chassis 9553
- Tony Willis history report for chassis 9553
This represents a rare opportunity to acquire a well-started GTO recreation project, with much of the most skilled and time-intensive aluminium work already completed, and accompanied with a highly sought-after 1960s Ferrari identity.
