A large Victorian silver ewer Maker's mark mis-struck, possibly Alexander Crichton, London, 1881 Of Oenochoe form, the pedestal base with applied masks, the slender body lobed to the lower part and with chased foliate band, the shoulder with a mask, chased foliate panels and engraved with the crest of the clan Adam, the acanthus-wrapped scrolling handle with mask terminal, height 48.5cm, weight 47oz.
