SAVING PRIVATE RYAN (1998) - 29th Infantry Division Corporal Ensemble - A 29th Infantry Division corporal ensemble from Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan. Soldiers from the 29th, including Corporal Upham (Jeremy Davies), wore their standard-issue helmets and military ensembles while fighting throughout the film, including during the classic opening battle on Omaha beach.
This lot consists of a cotton-blend US SPR shirt marked "15"; a cotton-blend US SPR jacket marked "42" with 29th Infantry Division corporal patches; cotton-blend US ACAD pants (Size 32x34); cotton US ACAD boot covers marked "36"; leather lace-up combat boots; a canvas pack with multiple pockets throughout, many of which are stuffed with rolled burlap sections, a metal and wood shovel attached to the back, and the belt is accessorized with a leather pistol holster, rubber knife and sheath, metal canteen, and two ammunition pouches filled with small wood blocks partially painted; and a fiberglass exterior helmet and separate liner with a leatherette and brass chinstrap, painted with a yin-yang symbol for the 29th Infantry Division, the rear painted with a non-commissioned officer (NCO) bar, and the exterior is covered in a scrim net with tears on the side. This lot exhibits holes on the back of the shirt and torn rubber on the sheath.
