Model Cannon
Probably Europe, 19th century. Wood, iron. L. approx. 67 cm, W. 35 cm, H. 30 cm. Finely crafted model cannon on a two-wheeled carriage. Iron cannon barrel with distinctive decorative bulges and a stamped mark/serial number(?), mounted on a wooden carriage with iron fittings. Large wooden spoked wheels with iron tires, numerous original chains, hooks, and movable details. A small wooden powder or accessory box with a hinged lid attached to the rear part of the carriage. Overall, a decorative, high-quality display piece, probably made for representation, teaching, or collector's purposes. Good state of preservation, age and use-typical patina, minor abrasion and oxidation traces, overall a coherent, original appearance. Provenance: From a North German private collection.
