Titled on gallery label on reverse. Passepartout. Framed under glass. Perilli is an Italian painter and graphic artist. He is one of the important representatives of abstract painting after World War II. Achille Perilli was, among others, co-author in 1947 of the Manifesto of Formalism: «Forma 1», which opposed any form of representational art and declared pure form to be the means and goal of art. The signatories founded the artist group "Forma" on this basis. He calls his art "geometrically irrational." First solo exhibition at Galleria La Tartaruga in Rome in 1957. Participant in documenta 2, 1959 in Kassel and the Venice Biennale (1964 and 1970).
