COUSTEAU JACQUES: (1910-1997) French oceanographer, filmmaker and author who co-invented the first successful open-circuit self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA), called the Aqua-Lung, which assisted him in producing some of the first underwater documentaries. A good vintage signed 6 x 8.5 photograph of Cousteau in a head and shoulders pose. Signed in black ink with his name alone to a lighter area at the base of the image. VG
