KORCHNOI VIKTOR (1931-2016) Soviet-Swiss Chess Grandmaster (GM). Widely considered one of the strongest players never to have become World Chess Champion. Korchnoi was a candidate for the World Championship on ten occasions. At age 75, he won the 2006 World Senior Chess Championship and became the oldest person ever to be ranked among the world's top 100 players. A bold blue ink double signature and inscription in the hand of Korchnoi, to an attractive 4to page removed from an album, saying `With best regards to the staff of the "Europ hotel". Int. chess grand master, Korchnoi´ Korchnoi signs in Cyrillic, but also signs a second time alongside in latin `Kortchnoi´. Also dated 14th June 1981. VG
