BOCKLIN ARNOLD: (1827-1901) Swiss symbolist painter. A.L.S., A. Bocklin, two pages, 8vo, Hottingen, 8th November 1891, to Professor Ferdinand Vetter, in German. Bocklin states that he only received his correspondent's letter upon his return from Italy and continues to inform his correspondent 'If an where the Keller medal is reproduced I don't know. If the Illustrierte Zeitung or another newspaper published such a reproduction it happened without my knowledge, and therefore its design by any newspaper is not dependent by a reproduction in the Schweizer Rundschau. From my side I give my permission with pleasure'. With blank integral leaf (slight traces of former mounting to the verso). VG
