The typed document lists five individuals, including Thomas Edison and his son Charles, and states that they each received 100 votes and that ´The President thereupon declared the.....gentlemen duly elected Directors of the corporation, to hold office until the next annual election, or until their successors shall have been elected and qualified´. Signed at the foot by Edison and the four other directors comprising Charles Edison (1890-1969) American politician who served as United States Secretary of the Navy 1940, and as Governor of New Jersey 1941-44, Henry Lanahan (General Counsel), Harry F. Miller (Edison´s secretary), and John V. Miller (Edison´s brother-in-law). Tipped to the left edge of the verso is a T.L.S. by H. H. Eckert, Secretary, one page, 4to, Orange, New Jersey, 3rd November 1926, to the Stockholders of The Edison Storage Battery Supply Company, on the printed stationery of the company, notifying them that a meeting of Stockholders will be held on 10th November 1926 for the election of a Board of Directors.
