Signed First Day of Issue cover commemorating Glenn becoming the first American to successfully complete an orbital flight and featuring an image of the Atlas-Mercury rocket at lift-off and inset portrait of the astronaut in his space helmet. Post marked at Cape Canaveral, Florida, 20th February 1962. Signed by Glenn in blue ink with his name alone to a clear area at the head of the cover. VG
