
DESERT PILOTS: Selction of signed printed images of various sizes (9 x 11 and smaller), evidently neatly removed from books or magazines, a few letters etc., by various pilots who engaged in aerial combat over the deserts during World War II, comprising Peter Wykeham (1915-1995) British Air Marshal and flying ace of World War II (four signatures including a T.L.S. referring to various aircraft), Patrick Dunn (1912-2004) Scottish Air Marshal, Commanding Officer of No. 80 Squadron during World War II (five signatures including an A.L.S.), Billy Drake (1917-2011) British Group Captain, a fighter pilot and flying ace of World War II, credited with 18 victories (one signature), John Kilmartin (1913-1998) Irish fighter pilot and flying ace who participated in the Battle of Britain and is credited with 7 victories (three signatures) and Colin Gray (1914-1995) New Zealand Group Captain, fighter pilot, and flying ace who participated in the Battle of Britain, credited with 27 victories (four signatures). The images depict various aircraft and the pilots in different poses during World War II. A few are multiple signed. G to generally VG, 15
