F-5 Freedom Fighter Model Plane

The Northrop F-5 is a family of supersonic light fighter aircraft initially designed as a privately funded project in the late 1950s. Despite lacking the true "all-weather" capabilities of more accomplished fighters of its time, the F-5 made up for its inherent limitations through its excellent agility, ease of maintenance and low-cost functionality which were all benefits to the budget-strapped military buyer. It is primarily used by American allies, it remains in US service to support training exercises.
This handcrafted replica has hand carved details, is made of mahogany wood and finished with high gloss polyurethane and a rich wood grain. Stand Included.
