Description

(1885 - 1957) German photographer, Hitler's official photographer from 1919 until 1945 and in whose studio Hitler first met his future wife, Eva Braun. Rare S.P., 4 x 6 in. b/w, Hoffmann's most famous portrait of Adolf Hitler, a chest-up portrait, boldly signed by Hoffmann in pencil on the verso. The photo is accompanied by the envelope in which it was once contained, from Hoffmann's wartime Munich residence at Ebersbergerstrasse, 5. Two pieces, mint condition.
