
Description
(1895 - 1956) NSDAP politician. He first participated in the assassination of Foreign Minister Walther Rathenau, later was appointed the Reichskommissar of Berlin. As such, he purged the capital's government of opposition, and was responsible for much of the early persecution of Jews in Berlin. S.P., 3.5 x 5.5 in. b/w, a chest, up portrait displaying an eagle and swastika pin on his lapel, signed and dated Jan. 11, 1936 in indelible pencil in the white bottom margin. Fine.
