Description
Composite metal eagle and swastika symbol once affixed to a Reichsbahn locomotive, 23.75 x 13.5 in. overall, bearing lettering: 'LOC RZA 5 BERL' and 'LOK 600 GAL-Ma Si' are stamped on the back, describing the issuing office of the eagle and the composition of the metal, aluminum, magnesium, and silicon. There is also a small, indistinct mark at the top of the top central post, as well as an old paper label indicating that the eagle was recovered in Belgium on Mar. 20, 1945. Regrettably, a previous owner drilled fixing holes to the front of the eagle, which could be cosmetically filled if so desired.
