(19 SEP 93) on the front .Ê The stamp is cancelled upon arrival at "SINGAPORE" (SP 21 93), with another strike alongside.Ê The message on this card reads "Pigeon Orchids bloomed here today" and the card is addressed to Henry Ridley, head of the Botanic Gardens, who is chiefly remembered for promoting the commercial cultivation of rubber in Malaya.Ê A fine and very scarce commercial use of this Straits card from Sarawak.
