Hakushu is a legendary distillery owned by japan's suntory and is known as the "distillery in the forest." the winery is located in the hakushu forest at the foot of japan's southern alps at an altitude of 700 meters. the climate here is cool and humid, and it has the water source of the oshiro river, which was rated as one of the "top 100 famous waters in japan". the extremely soft water filtered through layers of granite gives hakushu whiskey its signature fresh, pure and delicate taste.
