Ralph & Russo Haute Couture: Off-White Silk Tulle Embellished Bridal Gown Autumn/Winter 2014, Runway Look 36 Off-white silk tulle bridal gown with metallic printed lace underskirt and crystal, pearl and floral oyster embellishment Approximate measurements: Chest 37', waist 26', length at back 168', length at front 80', sleeves 8' Footnotes: Design Information CONSTRUCTION and FABRIC DETAILS Nearly 100 metres of different silk tulle were used, multiple layers of tulle added as underlayers to a metallic printed lace underskirt to create a voluminous A-line skirt shape with a train. In-built corset for the bodice, sheer tulle above elbow sleeves and neckline. EMBROIDERY DETAILS Hand embroidery with silk and metallic threadwork, thousands of crystals and 3D glass bead petals were used to create this design, growing around the neckline forming a V-shape motif. Intense embroidery at the waist, gradually fading along the skirt and then intensifying along the hem. It took 10 specialist embroiderers 2,200 hours of hand-embroidery.
