
TWO PORCELAIN 'LOTUS-WRAPPED' SNUFF BOTTLES 1790-1830 (white-glazed); and 1860-1920 (enameled) The first with a crackled off-white glaze and biscuit interior and molded in relief with stalks of lotus buds to one side and a lotus pad encircling the reverse side with a skuttling beetle; the second enameled in bright colors with similar molding but with the beetle amidst the stalks on the main face. 3 1/16in (7.8cm); and 3 1/2in (8.8cm) (2).
