Description
This Franco-Prussian War (1870–1871) double socket bayonet was designed for double-barrel hunting shotguns or experimental military trials rather than the standard-issue equipment of the era. The French military's primary bayonets during this period were sword-style models like the M1866 Chassepot, which featured a brass hilt and a curved "yataghan" blade. Excellent.
