
ICHIKAWA TŌRU 市川透 (B.1973) A Tokkuri (Sake Bottle) and Two Shuki (Sake Cups) Heisei (1989-2019) or Reiwa (2019-present), 21st century The tripod bottle covered in a textured gold glaze with platinum and red glaze trailing drips, a broad-based and angular cup covered with beaded gold and multi-colored glazes, and a slender and narrow-mouthed cup covered in a platinum glaze, the glaze thin in some places and viscous in others; each vessel with a tomobako (wood storage box) sealed Tōru and signed by the artist 6in (15.3cm) high, the tallest (3).
