Early Victorian Set of Six Graduated Copper Haystack Measures
A good and complete set of six antique English copper haystack measures, dating from the early Victorian period, circa 1830–1860.
Graduated from 1 gallon down to ⅛ gill, each measure is of classic haystack form with a rolled foot, flared rim, and side handle.
All are fitted with original lead verification plugs stamped to the upper lip, denoting inspection and calibration for use in trade.

⅛ Gill
Heights: Ranging from approximately 10 cm (⅛ gill) to 29 cm (1 gallon).
Condition is sound and consistent with age.
The copper has taken on a rich pinkish tone with good surface patina.
Expected small dents, marks and signs of use throughout; some old repairs are visible but stable and unobtrusive.
Natural verdigris remains visible at the seams and base of the largest measure.
