A mid-20th-century French studio pottery rectangular dish, designed by Jean Lurçat and produced at the Sant-Vicens workshop, Perpignan.
Decorated with stylised abstract faces in white slip against a dark brown manganese ground, typical of Lurçat’s bold modernist vocabulary.
The reverse is hand-inscribed “Dessin J. Lurçat – Sant-Vicens”, indicating the design was supplied by Lurçat and executed by the workshop.
Measurements: 36 × 13 cm
Condition: There is a historic repair to a section of the rim with associated glaze loss visible on close inspection.
General light crazing to the white slip consistent with age.
Overall presents well and displays attractively.
