Worcester Porcelain Coffee Can – Exotic Birds Pattern – c.1815–1825
A fine early 19th-century English porcelain coffee can, attributed to the Worcester factory during the Flight, Barr & Barr period, circa 1815–1825.
Of straight-sided form with a simple loop handle, the can is delicately hand-painted with an encircling design of exotic birds among flowering branches, set beneath a cobalt blue border with stylised gilt floral reserves.
The handle bears remnants of gilt decoration, now rubbed with age.
The base is inscribed with the pattern number 2767, consistent with Worcester production of this period.
Condition: Good antique condition.
Two old, faint hairlines can be seen from the inner rim, both under 2 cm and non-structural.
A few further vague lines are visible within the body, again non-structural and stable.
Some rubbing to the gilding, particularly to the rim and handle.
No chips or restoration.
Measures 7 x 5.5 x 5.5 (height) cm
