Although he introduced notable innovations, such as a patented technique for embedding ceramic designs within glass, Pellatt became best known for the refinement and beauty of his creations rather than his technical advances alone. His workshop gained particular acclaim for producing fine candelabra and chandeliers, alongside other luxury glassware, all celebrated for their craftsmanship and rich decorative style. He also recorded his knowledge in Curiosities of Glass Making (1849), beginning his career during the Regency period, establishing his reputation in the reign of George IV, and continuing his work through the reigns of William IV and into the Victorian era.
