
A mid-18th century red Japanned longcase clock John Brice, Ealham The case with a flat moulded top over a break arch section supported by four Doric topped columns intercepted by glazed observation windows to the sides over a concave throat moulding to a break arch long trunk door decorated in red lacquer, the lock replaced with a later handle and terminating in a decorated plinth base. The 12 inch brass dial with black Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers intercepted by fleur-de-lys half hour markers later signed in a central name cartouche John Brice, Ealham within the matted centre, the strike/silent aperture added to a later break arch.
