An interesting engraved opaque twist firing glass and an airtwist firing glass, circa 1750-65 With heavy terraced 'firing' feet, the first with an ogee bowl moulded fine basal flutes, later inscribed 'Ann Scarber/ Born/ May 4th/ 1834' in diamond-point script, on a double-series stem containing a pair of heavy opaque white spiral tapes outside a lace twist, 9.7cm high, the other with a trumpet bowl on a multi-spiral airtwist stem, 9.8cm high (2) Footnotes: Provenance Leuba Collection, Bonhams, 27 November 2024, lot 84 (part) (airtwist) Ann Scarber was born at Spilsby in Lincolnshire.
