
Attributed to Charles Hayter (English, 1761-1835) after Sir George Hayter: Portrait miniature of Lady (Caroline) Norton, together with three portrait miniatures depicting female sitters, comprising two examples depicting ladies of fashion, perhaps attributable to Charles Richard Bone (English, 1809-1880) and a further example of young girl by Nicolas-Francois Dun (French, 1766-1832) The first, circa 1830, depicted with elaborate braided hair and jewelled bracelet, oval on ivory, set within a gilt metal frame, the two examples possibly by Bone, circa 1830-50, comprising one of a sitter with blue eyes and gold hair, canted rectangular on ivory, the other of a sitter with braided hair and low necked white dress, oval on ivory, within a enamelled 'jewelled gilt metal frame, the example by Dun, circa 1820, depicted in green dress signed lower right, the first, 5cm x 3.7cm, the second, 7cm x 5.4cm, the third, 6.5cm x 5cm, the last, 4cm x 7cm (all without frames) (4) Footnotes: Born in Hampshire, Haytor was the son of the architect Charles Haytor.
