Assembled from parts into a semi-automatic rifle, this is a very nice presenting example very closing matching the appearance of a M2 Browning .50 caliber. It includes a contemporary lightweight tripod (wonderfully portable), pintle, traverse and elevation mechanism, and headspace and timing gauge. There is also an Israeli vehicle mount cradle, and robust hard composite transit case included with this lot. This gun fires from a closed bolt, and has pantographic markings on right side indicating Colt, but the actual manufacturer appears to be “Dan Delong”. It is pretty clear from examination that this gun was assembled from some parts which had light pitting, exclusive of the sideplates, and backplate hardware. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent dark matte blue refinish upon remanufacture with some light pitting visible under the refinish on the trunnion, top cover, bottom plate and rear plate the rear sight is attached to. Bore has strong rifling with firing residue. Bolt face extremely fine and professionally marked “Dan Delong”. Mechanism requires typical effort to withdraw bolt to the rear. Tripod and cradle have near excellent black enamel finish. This is quite an attractive ensemble for the person who wants an M2 Browning without the high cost of being an NFA item.
