Banksy search and Rescue boat ‘Michele Louise’ T-Shirt-

Aiding recent migration efforts is a bright pink motor yacht commissioned by Banksy. Banksy has long championed social causes beyond his politically tinged street murals. 

The anonymous British artist first announced his intention to purchase a migrant rescue boat this past fall, and ended up acquiring a former French Navy vessel, named Louise Michel after the French feminist anarchist, using proceeds from recent sales of artworks about the migrant crisis, Banksys crew sail the seas assisting and rescuing people of desperation fleeing from trouble

 

ABOUT the Exhibition

How GoMA brought Banksy to Glasgow - and kept it top secret

Two-and-a-half years in the making, the news that Banksy had chosen to Glasgow, and GoMA, as the location to stage the new show, CUT & RUN, was only known to a select few people.

Glasgow's GoMA, where for the first time stencils used by street artist Banksy to create many of the artist's works, will be displayed in his new exhibition, 'Cut & Run’. 

The show includes authentic artefacts, ephemera and the artist's actual toilet and will run for three months and open all night at weekends.

It’s a show which reveals for the first time the stencils and behind-the-scenes process used by Banksy to create many of their most iconic and memorable works over the past 25 years.

 

ABOUT the Merchandise

Banksy has only ever done a handful of official exhibitions in his career.

Collected from my visit to GOMA, all genuine merchandise with copies of receipts included.
