Crafted in Heywood-Wakefield’s signature blonde finish, the chair features smooth flowing lines and solid hardwood construction, representing the clean, organic design that made the company a leader in American mid-century furniture. Formed by a 1897 merger of two 19th-century companies, Heywood-Wakefield became a prominent American manufacturer known for high-quality, solid hardwood furniture, specifically Mid-Century Modern designs in Northern Yellow Birch. Renowned for stylish Streamline Moderne, and earlier wicker/rattan, they were known for light-colored furniture, curved lines, and quality.
