Jadeite Double Fish Pendant, Length 7.9cm, Width 4.2cm, 74g. Qing Dynasty (mostly Imperial Workshop or Jiangnan jade workshops, surviving pieces). Natural Grade A jadeite, rare tri-colour (spring with colour) showing green, purple and yellow (red), transparent texture, fine quality and natural colour distribution. Carved in relief and intaglio, using natural colour to sculpt double fish: green for bodies, purple for flowers, yellow (red) for fins/waves, smooth lines and vivid details, with beaded cord, classic Qing jadeite ornament. Mid-late Qing to Republican period. Tri-colour jadeite is rare; double fish symbolizes surplus and prosperity, representing Qing auspicious jade carving with scarcity and aesthetic value, a fine Qing jadeite carving with high market value.
