Julius Henry 'Groucho' Marx (1890-1977) American comedian, actor, and writer best known as the sharp-witted star of the Marx Brothers comedy team. Renowned for his rapid-fire wordplay, anarchic humor, and iconic appearance, Groucho helped redefine American film comedy during Hollywood?s Golden Age.
