
Description
This Antique Beech and Hancock Pitcher in Peru Pattern Circa 1860 is in great physical condition. NO cracks, crazing, chips; stains etc. It does have fading on the gold color, but the pattern is still strong and clear. It stands 8 ¾” tall x 6 ½” spout to handle, x approximately 5” width. A little history: Beech & Hancock was in business from 1857- 1876. They were earthenware manufacturer at Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, England. In 1857 Beech & Hancock took over the Church Bank Works from R. Beswick and continued there until 1861. In 1861/1862 they then moved to the Swan Bank Works, Tunstall. In 1876/1877 the partnership was dissolved and James Beech continued on his own account.
