This work is in the public domain. Unusual statement in the front of the book. It says this book is not for sale in book stores, and never will be. This book is in Good to Very Good condition. The only real problem is a cracked spine between pages 112-148 that section of pages is loose but attached (could be reglued.) Very little damage to corners and spine, no fading of cover or spine, and gold is in excellent condition. When reading this it might be good to have a dictionary close by. The language of the 1880’s was much above what we use today. The book deals with 45 different areas of life. It is a book that will make you think, make you mad, bring up emotions and thoughts you might not have thought you had.
