She played a central role in founding the Cultural Assembly of Greater Worcester in the late 1970s—now known as ArtsWorcester—and served as its first board chair.Known for her mixed media paintings and monoprints, Bishop also taught art and art history at the Worcester Art Museum. She is remembered as a key figure in shaping Worcester’s artistic community in the latter half of the 20th century and is in the collection of the Worcester Art Museum.
