Description
Often depicted as the âking of the jungleâ, it has been used as a symbol of royalty, from many ancient civilizations from: Pre-Egyptian, Byzantine, Roman, Greek, Middle Eastern, Indian, Chinese, and even currently as the central depiction of English and French heraldry.
Once found in Africa, Eurasia, India, and in the Americaâs, as far down as Peru, the wild lions can now only be found in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and an endangered remnant population in India.
In this 14th collection of Alberto Juan lion jewelry we celebrate the depiction of the wild African lion on Pre-Roman Etruscan civilization as well as the more modern cave lionâs royal style.
