Jean Suquet is a French writer, poet and photographer. He is one of Marcel Duchamp's specialists. André Breton, then Marcel Duchamp were decisive in his formation. One spring day in 1949, André Breton, suspecting a kinship between Jean Suquet's thought and that of Marcel Duchamp, suggested that he write a book on the artist's work.
He makes her meet Mary Reynolds and Jacques Villon, brother of Marcel Duchamp. Biography Smoke-coupled, photography of Jean Suquet (Paris, around 1960). In 1948, enrolled in Paris to study medicine, Jean Suquet met the surrealist group to which he adhered. He is among those who signed, in February 1949, the "Surrealist Letter to Garry Davis". It is part of the project of the Citizens of the World and the organizers, with André Breton, of the demonstration Cahors Mundi 24 and 25 June 1950.
