Rajput work, the hilt inlaid with gold flowering vinework, with a Devanagari inscription. The fine blade well-wrought of wootz and bifullered. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard. First half of the 18th century. Rubbed, velvet worn. Overall length 38cm./14 61/64 inches. Condition III
