Up for auction is a Smith & Wesson First Model chambered in 22 short. The barrel measures in at 3.25 inches and has sharp riffling and an excellent bore for a gun of its age. The stocks appear original as does the bluing, it exhibits no signs of refinishing. The action times and locks up, though there is play in the latch assembly. Overall great conditon, will need to be checked by a qualified gunsmith to ensure safe operation.
