The campaign streamer for this theater features a yellow background, symbolizing Asia, with a narrow trio of blue, white, and red stripes at the center drawn from the American Defense Service Medal to represent the continuation of U.S. defense efforts following Pearl Harbor. Flanking these are thinner red and white stripes on both sides, reflecting the national colors of Japan.
