Title: Oil painting Village courtyard Oksana Kalenyuk Description: NoAAA4712The oil painting on cardboard titled "Village Courtyard" is a striking depiction of rural life, infused with warmth, nostalgia, and an intimate connection to nature. Through expressive brushstrokes and a rich palette, the artist captures the essence of a peaceful countryside setting where time seems to stand still. At the center of the composition, an old village house with a thatched roof and wooden shutters stands as a testament to tradition and simplicity. The textured application of paint lends the building a weathered, rustic appearance, emphasizing its deep roots in the land. The windows, framed in warm earthy tones, reflect the quiet interior life within, contrasting with the lively exterior. The thick layers of paint and bold strokes make the house feel solid and real, a tangible piece of the countryside. To the right of the house, a clothesline filled with freshly washed linen flutters in the breeze. The white and red-striped fabric introduces a rhythmic pattern to the composition, adding a sense of movement and daily life. The inclusion of this small but significant detail suggests the presence of a household, evoking a feeling of warmth and homeliness. The folds of the cloth, created with thick impasto strokes, catch the light, bringing depth and realism to the scene. In the foreground, a patch of lush green grass spreads out, its uneven texture mirroring the natural growth of the land. Scattered across this vibrant space, a few chickens peck at the ground, their bright red and golden hues standing out against the earthy background. These small yet lively creatures inject a sense of motion and energy, reinforcing the everyday rural atmosphere of the painting. Their presence symbolizes the self-sustaining nature of village life, where animals and people coexist harmoniously. A leafless tree stands tall beside the house, its twisted branches reaching towards the sky. The deep brown and ochre hues of the bark contrast against the cool blue sky, creating a striking visual balance. The absence of leaves suggests either the arrival of early spring or the quiet dormancy of late autumn, adding a touch of seasonality to the composition. The bold brushstrokes outlining the tree's limbs create a sense of movement, as if swayed by a gentle breeze.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "Village courtyard"* ARTISTS: Oksana Kalenyuk* SIZE: 15x20 cm/'5.90x7.87 inches'* MEDIUM: oil, cardboard* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: Photos provide accurate information about the product.About the artists: Kalenyuk Oksana was born in 1964 in Rivne region.
