About the artist: People's Artist of the USSR. Full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. Laureate of the Stalin Prize for a series of landscapes "Volga - Russian River" (1946), laureate of the Lenin Prize 1980 for a cycle of landscapes. He studied at the Samara Art College, then in Moscow at VKHUTEMAS / VKHUTEIN (1923 - 1930) with R.R. Falk, I.I. Mashkova, A.D. Wood. Since 1929 - a member of the AHRR. He was part of a group of young artists ROST. Participant of exhibitions since 1931. In 1930 he wrote mainly genre scenes. Since 1938, the main theme was lyrical landscapes. He adopted the ideological attitudes of the Union of Russian Artists, who sought to turn a full-scale impression into a symbolic "Image of Russia". The works of N. M. Romadin are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and the Australian Museum of Art in Melbourne.
